Faculty Mentor Information
The proposal must be written by the student(s). The faculty sponsor will work with the student to produce a well-written proposal including an accurate budget and project timeline. The faculty mentor will then recommend the project for funding and sign the cover sheet to validate that the project and the proposal are the student’s original work.
A faculty sponsor bears the responsibility of reviewing the proposal and providing feedback before the students submits a proposal. The faculty sponsor is expected to attend the annual Endeavor Symposium.
Faculty may apply directly for Endeavor! Collaboration Project Award funds for projects in which student research or creative participation is significant. Students must be active participants in the award writing process when possible. Additionally, as a stipulation of receiving funding, the students must participate in presenting research or creative works at any professional meetings, conferences, symposia or shows.
If funds for hourly stipends are requested, faculty will be responsible for documenting the hours worked by the students by means of a time sheet.
The faculty collaboration award winner is expected to attend the annual Endeavor! Symposium and present or supervise students' presentation of the research.
