Service Learning Tips for Students

Tips for approaching service learning:

• Be assertive.
  
  
• Take the initiative, both in the community and in the classroom.
  
  
• Be a leader and a decision-maker.
  
  
• Help with the assessment of the project and the planning of follow-up activities.
  
  
• Contribute to the project as if it were a regular job.
  
  
• Be on time and learn the rules and regulations.
  
  
• At the end of the project take time to reflect on what was learned and how it could be better next time.
