The Division of Outreach and Engagement complements the University's traditional role by providing and facilitating quality educational, research, and technical services for people, groups, and organizations in the region. These activities support and promote individual well-being, social and cultural enrichment, economic opportunity and regional development.
Our outreach to businesses and organizations is carried out through these departments:
-
Center for Human Resource Development - skilled consultants and facilitators who can help you assess your needs, design a plan, and deliver training services. To see descriptions of our current business courses click here.
-
Center for Applied Research - dedicated to bringing USI's faculty and student resources together with businesses and organizations in need of applied projects such as economic impact studies, new product development, and much more.
-
Continuing Education - noncredit courses for professional development and skill building, including certificates in maintenance management, computer proficiency, and management.
The Division of Outreach and Engagement provides management and training services to area organizations. Two prominent examples are the Tri-State Industrial Safety Council (TSISC) and the local chapter of the Institute for Supply Management (ISM), NAPM Evansville.
The 2007 President's Task Force on Workforce and Economic Development has completed its work of gathering information on USI's leadership and responsiveness in regional economic development. Click the link above to read or download the report.
