WHO WE ARE

Center for Applied Research

The Center for Applied Research, a department within Extended Services, serves as a “front door” for businesses and organizations that wish to work with the University of Southern Indiana.  We mobilize the resources of the University, including its faculty, students, and staff, to help regional businesses and organizations thrive.

WHAT WE DO

The Center for Applied Research works with businesses and organizations throughout the region to help leverage the intellectual capabilities of the university.  We match faculty, staff, and students with regional businesses and organizations to conduct research, consulting, and other applied projects. These projects can range from economic impact studies to new product development.  In addition, USI is the University partner for Downtown Evansville’s Certified Technology Park, Innovation Pointe.  Our purpose is to actively engage faculty, staff, and students in our regional community to share their expertise with businesses and non-profits.  This engagement will not only benefit the region, but will also help these individuals in their career development.

HOW WE CAN HELP YOU

The Center can provide assistance in many areas of expertise for your business or organization.  Need help on a problem or project?  Call our office at 461-5407, e-mail us at appliedresearch@usi.edu, or complete our project request form for research, consulting, or student project assistance.
