COMPTIA A+ CERTIFICATION NO. MCS520
If you are getting ready for a career as an entry-level information
technology (IT) professional or personal computer (PC) service technician,
the CompTIA® A+® Certification course is the first step in your preparation.
The course will build on your existing user-level knowledge and experience
with personal computer software and hardware to present fundamental skills
and concepts that you will use on the job. In this course, you will acquire
the essential skills and information you will need to install, upgrade,
repair, configure, troubleshoot, optimize, and perform preventative
maintenance of basic personal computer hardware and operating systems.
COMPTIA NETWORK+ CERTIFICATION NO. MCS521
This course is designed to prepare students for the 2002 CompTIA's Network+
Exam N10-003. Earning the Network+ Certification means that students have
the knowledge needed to use and maintain a wide range of network
technologies. From this exam, students often move on to more advanced IT
certifications, including Microsoft's MCSA and MCSE, and Novell's CNE.

responsibilities include securing network services, network devices, and
network traffic. Students who complete this course will be able to identify
security threats and vulnerabilities, and help respond to and recover from
security incidents. You’ll build on your knowledge and professional
experience with computer hardware, operating systems, and networks as you
acquire the specific skills required to implement basic security services on
any types of computer network. This course will cover security concepts that
are prerequisites for attending other Microsoft Official Curriculum (MOC)
courses for security specialists and help prepare students for the CompTIA
Security+ exam (exam number SY1-101). This course has been approved as
CompTIA Authorized Quality Curriculum (CAQC) for the CompTIA Security+
certification. The CAQC program assures students that all test objectives
for the CompTIA Security+ certification exam are covered in the course

technology-specific implementation of security concepts, many of these same
