Northern Illinois University, the Construction Safety Council, and the National Safety Council are partners and form the National Safety Education Center (NSEC). University of Southern Indiana Center for Human Resource Development is a host site authorized to provide approved Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) courses. While many organizations offer safety training programs, NSEC programs and training are authorized and approved by OSHA. Upon completion of NSEC courses hosted through NWTC, your achievement is recognized with Department of Labor Course Completion Certificates, Outreach Trainer Cards and/or Continuing Education Units (CEU’s).

OSHA 30-HOUR GENERAL INDUSTRY TRAINING                                    NO. OSHA30
The OSHA training course is ideal for employees with safety responsibilities such as managers, human resources managers, team leaders, technicians, and safety program administrators. The training will focus on several topics: OSHA, managing safety and health, walking and working surfaces, exit routes, emergency action plans, fire prevention plans, materials handling, hazard communication, bloodborne pathogens, PPE, and flammable and combustible liquids. Ten of the 30 hours of training will be determined by the needs of the participants and may include machine guarding, lockout/tagout, permit-required confined spaces, and/or powered industrial vehicles. Participants will earn a certificate and an OSHA 30-Hour general industry wallet cared from the OSHA Training Institute.

Dates and Time: Four Wednesdays, February 5-26, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Location: Innovation Pointe, 318 Main Street, downtown Evansville
Registration Fee: $599, includes materials, lunch, refreshments, and parking
