SHRM LEARNING SYSTEM                                                                                      NO. PHR550F
We’re bringing the SHRM Learning System to the Jasper area! This course, sanctioned by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), is designed to provide human resource professionals competency in the six areas of human resources. It is an excellent exam prep course for those seeking certification by Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI). SHRM and HRCI partnered in developing this learning system which includes six books, access to a website featuring practice tests, and a certificate of completion from USI and SHRM.

Dates and Time: Twelve Tuesdays, March 4 -May 20, 6 to 9 p.m.
Location: St. Gertrude Hall, Monastery of the Immaculate Conception, 802 E 10th Street, Ferdinand, IN
Registration Fee: $1,200; $1,099 for registering by January 31, 2014

If you are interested in earning certification from Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI), visit for complete information. Certification is appropriate for HR professionals with the following degrees and experience levels: master degree and at least one year of experience; bachelor degree and at least two years of experience; no degree and at least four years of experience. Individuals who wish to take an HRCI certification exam during the May/June testing window need to apply for the exam on the HRCI web site by April 19, 2014. The exam fee is not included in the cost of the SHRM Learning System.

ESSENTIALS OF HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT                                               N0. HRC500
A true introductory course in human resource management, Essentials of Human Resource Management will provide participants with a broad overview of the human resource function. Key topic areas include HR management, employment law, recruitment and selection, compensation and benefits, employee development, and performance management. This is an excellent course for business professional in smaller organizations who are responsible for HR or parts of HR in addition to other non-HR duties. This class is officially sanctioned by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and includes a book, access to a website with additional resources, and a certificate of completion from USI and SHRM.

Dates and Time: Thursday and Friday, April 24–25, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
