HootSuite is the Social Media Dashboard that you need to be utilizing! Rather than being a social network, HootSuite allows you to connect to multiple social networks from one website. HootSuite helps organizations use the social web to launch marketing campaigns, identify and grow audience, and distribute targeted messages across multiple channels. Using HootSuite’s unique social media dashboard, teams can collaboratively schedule updates to Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, Wordpress and other social networks via web, desktop or mobile platforms plus track campaign results and industry trends to rapidly adjust tactics. Launched in Dec. 2008 by Invoke Media, HootSuite’s rapidly growing user base includes governments, artists and organizations like The White House, Martha Stewart Media, SXSW and Zappos.

INTRO TO BLOGGING                                                                                              NO. BUS581
Begin to blog with Tumblr a free and easy blogging platform. Tumblr is a scaled down blog, so no one expects you to post 300-500 words about you tropic, heck, you don’t even have to stick to a topic. Many people use it to collect their favorite stories, pictures and quotes. Learn all of the basics: setting up a profile, adding a picture, privacy and post settings, the types and styles of posting, following and followers, and “reblogging”. You will also be associating your new blog to other platforms, and changing your themes, styles and colors. Come prepared to dig in for a fun evening of creative exploration in to the world of blogging! At the end of this class you should be able to walk away with a blog ready to share.

SOCIAL MEDIA BUSINESS POLICIES & IMPLEMENTATION WORKSHOP             NO. BUS580
