Call for Proposals

Proposal Deadline - February 28, 2011
Do you have a Service Learning project that you would like to showcase it? Do you have an innovative practice or curricular experience that you could share with other teachers? Want the opportunity to participate with other regional faculty, teachers and community partners in discussing how to construct student-centered and powerful curricular experiences? You are invited to submit a proposal to present at the 2011 Equity and Diversity Conference. The deadline for submission has been extended to Friday, March 11, 2011.  Proposals are solicited for creative and dynamic 50-minute presentations that are interactive and feature best practices. 

 

Presentation/Poster Proposal Formats

A variety of presentation formats is desirable and may include posters, workshops, panel presentations, and roundtable discussions.  Handouts are strongly encouraged.  Submit an electronic proposal of no more than two pages. Include a proposal abstract of 25 words or less.  If selected, this abstract will be used in the conference program booklet and on the conference Web Site.

 

Include a cover sheet that contains the following information:

        1.  Contact information –Include Title of Proposal, Presenter(s) Name and Title,

             Organization/School/Agency, Address, Phone Number, Email Address

        2.  Indicate the Target Audience  - Business and Industry, Government, Non-profit

             Agencies, P-12 Education, Higher Education

Fees

The registration fee will be waived for all presenters attending the Seminar.
