Innovation Pointe, Evansville’s new high-tech business innovation
center, is open on Main Street between Third and Fourth Streets. USI, as the education
partner, will offer services including
- Undergraduate and graduate courses beginning fall 2008
- Noncredit courses and seminars beginning this spring (see following descriptions)
- Specialized information technology seminars and hands-on programs
- Student interns, faculty applied research and consulting support to the technology businesses located in Innovation Pointe provided by USI’s Center for Applied Research—call 461-5442 for more information
- Access to services of USI’s Organizational/Professional Development group, including assessment, human resource development planning, and customized training
- STEM-related workshops and activities for middle and high school students
- Support for entrepreneurs of all kinds
- Hands-on computer application courses

Have you ever had the nagging feeling you’ve said the wrong thing,
dressed the wrong way, or picked up the wrong fork at a business
lunch? Join us at Innovation Pointe for a day of polishing and
refining your professional etiquette skills. Learn the do’s and
don’ts of the business world in areas including networking,
meetings, and e-mail, as well as the most comfortable and
appropriate ways to dress, speak, and share a meal with business
associates. The day includes a “working lunch” where you will have
the opportunity to practice the new tips you’ve learned.

naturally exist. It’s how individuals learn to deal with difficult
and possibly volatile situations that can make the difference in the
working environment. This session designed for employees at all
levels can be used in a variety of work situations and will help you
identify personal styles that influence conflict behavior.

the middle of the filing season for 2008 elections, Candidate School

candidate, election law compliance, and media relations.
