BEGINNING CONVERSATIONAL FRENCH                                               NO. LGN400
Prepare for vacation in France, review essentials of French from a previous study, or simply gain confidence in pronunciation. Focus will be on basic French vocabulary and expressions, as well as the geography and culture of France. Cost of text and CD included in registration fee. Learn basic conversational Spanish and feel more at ease when you travel or encounter Spanish speakers in business and social situations. Emphasis is on building vocabulary. Cost of text, 30 Days to Great Spanish, CD, and dictionary included in registration fee. Materials need to be ordered in advance; enroll early.

Learn basic conversational Japanese and feel more at ease when you travel or encounter Japanese speakers in business and social situations. Emphasis will be on basic conversational skills and phrases especially useful for travelers, as well as prevalent Japanese customs, traditions, and protocols a foreigner is expected to know and respect in social situations. Cost of text, Japanese for Busy People I, and CD included in registration fee. Materials need to be ordered in advance; enroll early.
