ARTICLE III
Officers
Section 3.01. Number and Qualifications. The Officers of the Parents & Families Council shall be President, President Elect, Secretary, and Treasurer.
Section 3.02. Duties. The duties of the Officers of the Parents & Families Council shall include:
- President. The President shall preside at Council meetings, represent the Association at public events, and perform all other duties inherent to the office.
- President Elect. The President Elect shall assist the president with his/her duties and serve as President in the President’s absence.
- Secretary. The Secretary shall be responsible for recording and preserving the minutes of all Council meetings.
- Treasurer. The Treasurer shall be responsible for informing the Council of the financial status of the Association.
Section 3.03. Election and Term. The Officers shall be elected at the Annual Meeting of the Council for a single term of one (1) year or until their successors shall have been elected and qualified. No Officer shall serve more than one (1) term in any one office. Newly elected officers shall take office July 1.
Section 3.04. Vacancies. In the event an Officer resigns or for any reason becomes unable to serve, the position shall be filled by the Parents & Families Council. Any Officer so elected shall hold office until the last day of June and until a successor shall be duly elected and qualified.
