ARTICLE IV
Committees
Section 4.01. Executive Committee. The Executive Committee shall be the Officers of the Parents & Families Council and shall act on behalf of the Council between meetings.
Section 4.02. Nominating Committee. There shall be a Nominating Committee appointed by the President, whose function shall include preparing a single slate of candidates for the various elective positions of the Council.
Section 4.03. Special Committees. There may be any number of special committees representing activities of the Association. Committees of the Council may be appointed and meet as needed.
ARTICLE V
Fiscal Policy
Section 5.01. Fiscal Year. The fiscal year of the USI Parents & Families Association shall begin the first day of July of each year and end upon the 30th day of June of the next year.
ARTICLE VI
Miscellaneous
Section 6.01. Amendment to Bylaws. The Bylaws may be amended by a simple majority of those attending any regular meeting of the Parents & Families Council provided that the proposed amendment(s) shall have been distributed to the membership of the Council at least five (5) days prior to consideration.
Section 6.02. Parliamentary Procedure. Robert’s Rules of Order Newly Revised shall be the parliamentary authority for all matters of procedure not specifically covered by the Bylaws.
