Association membership is open to all past and present, guardians, and family members. Members who make annual charitable gifts of at least $25 to any fund in the USI Foundation will be considered active members and will be eligible to serve on the nine member Parents & Family Council, which serves as the Association’s board of directors.
Regardless of membership, the Parents & Families Association is here for all USI families. We staff a family help line that is designed to answer your questions and aid in taking the stress of transitioning someone to college. Regular email newsletters are sent out to all families to inform you of upcoming events and deadlines. This enables you to be well informed and helpful when talking with your student. All families are encouraged to attend Parents & Families Weekend. The weekend is about hands-on fun for the entire family. Enjoy informative sessions, interactive activities, great food, and an opportunity to meet other families while exploring your students housing, classrooms, and the beautiful USI campus. Parents & Families Weekend is also a great opportunity to introduce the college experience to younger siblings, nieces, nephews, and more.
