Federal Direct Loan Exit Counseling

Students who borrowed Federal Direct Loans through the Federal Direct Loan Program and who are about to graduate, transfer out, or simply stop out for a semester must complete exit counseling. The exit interview requirement was covered at new student orientation and when you completed your loan entrance counseling. Since the exit interview is a federal requirement, official USI academic transcripts are not released until it is completed.

Please complete your counseling requirements by clicking on the appropriate choice below. You must identify yourself on the Direct Loan web site using your federal PIN. If you don't remember your federal PIN, go to PIN Registration to request a duplicate PIN. Keep your PIN in a safe place for future use.
If you have any questions as you complete your session, you may contact your student financial assistance counselor at 812/464-1767 or 800/467-1965.

Please print and save a copy of the final "success" page of your counseling session.

**For students who have never borrowed under the Direct Loan Program and your loans were all before Fall of 2005 please complete the form available at the link provided below and return to the USI Financial Assistance Office.
