Meg Dettwiler Memorial Scholarship The Meg Dettwiler Scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to deserving women in the community who have a desire to continue their education. Meg Dettwiler was a dedicated Junior League and community volunteer. Amount: $1,000 Eligibility: · Applicants must be women in the tri-state area who are or will be attending an institution of higher learning to obtain a two or four-year degree who are not currently traditional high school seniors · Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be accepted and enrolled in an institute of higher learning by the date funds are scheduled to be disbursed Deadline: Received by March 1 Contact: Applications are available in USI’s Student Financial Assistance Office or online at www.juniorleagueofevansville.org. Talbots Women’s Scholarship Fund In keeping with its long-standing tradition of serving the community, the Talbots Charitable Foundation is pleased to offer a unique, national $100,000 scholarship program: a fund just for women who earned their high school diploma or GED at least 10 years ago, and who are now seeking a college degree. Amount: 50 women will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship Eligibility: · Applicants must be women currently residing in the U.S. · Applicants must be women who have earned a high school diploma or their GED on or before September 1998 · Applicants must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a full or part-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two or four-year college, university or vocational/technical school · Applicants must be attending the full 2008-2009 academic year and receiving a degree no earlier than May 2009 · Applicants must have at least two semesters (24 credit hours or more) remaining to complete an undergraduate degree as of the beginning of the 2007 fall academic term Deadline Passed (January 2, 2008) Contact: Applications are available at USI’s Office of Student Financial Assistance.
