Graduate University Assistance
University Scholarships, Grants, and Employment
Thanks to the Indiana Commission for Higher Education and the Kentucky Council
on Higher Education, a reciprocal agreement between Kentucky and Indiana
provides an opportunity for the residents of Daviess, Hancock, Henderson, and
Union counties in Kentucky to attend the University of Southern Indiana while
paying "in-state" tuition and fees. For more information about

An eligible student:
- must be accepted and enrolled at USI.
- may enroll in any undergraduate or graduate
degree program.
- may enroll on a full-time or part-time
basis.
- shall be subject to the same admission
standards as resident students.
- shall be assessed tuition and fees at
resident student rates.
Child of Disabled or
Deceased Veteran (includes Vietnam MIAs and POWs)
Applications are available in the Student Financial Assistance Office and must
be certified by the Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs in Indianapolis.
Child of Indiana
Police Officer or Firefighter Killed in the Line of Duty

Graduate Assistantship
There are a limited number of graduate assistantships. Applications are available in the
Office of Graduate Studies.

Proof of Relationship
Required For Certain Fee Waivers
Fee waivers for a child of an eligible parent (veteran, police officer or
firefighter) require verification of the parent's eligibility. Student
applicants must also provide a copy of their birth certificate if the parent's
surname is different from their own.
