Perkins Loan Exit Counseling

Students who borrow under the Perkins Loan program (not to be confused with the Stafford Loan program) are required to complete exit counseling when they graduate, drop below half-time, transfer to another college, or stop out for a semester. Note that official USI academic transcripts are not released until the exit counseling requirement is completed.

If you are unsure of the type of student loans you have, please contact our office at the contact link above or call 812/464-1757 (toll free 800/467-1965). You can also check on your loan history at http://www.nslds.ed.gov/ if you have your federal PIN.
