When planning for your actual costs, it is important to remember that the University will bill you only for tuition and fees unless you sign a contract for housing (and possibly food service) on campus. If you have signed a housing contract (or a combination housing contract and food service contract), you will be billed for the semester rental (and food plan if applicable) in addition to tuition/fees. You will not be billed for textbooks. Textbooks are purchased from the USI Bookstore. The Bookstore accepts cash, checks, Mastercard, VISA, and Discover.

For more information on direct costs, see the USI Admission Cost Estimator. To estimate your contribution (EFC), go to Early Estimate of Aid Eligibility. Subtracting your estimated family contribution (EFC) from the appropriate budget above will provide an rough estimate of your need for financial assistance.
