Armed Forces Foundations

Veterans and their dependents can apply for scholarships through the foundations of the various branches of the armed forces.

Army Emergency Relief Spouse and Children Scholarship Program
Army Emergency Relief maintains two scholarship programs – the Spouse Education Assistance Program and the MG James Ursano Scholarship Program for dependent children. Both scholarships provide financial assistance for students who are pursuing their first undergraduate degree.

Army Nurse Corps Scholarship 
The purpose of the Army Nurse Corps Association Scholarship Program is to award scholarships to U.S. citizen students attending accredited baccalaureate or graduate nursing or anesthesia nursing programs.

Frank L. Greathouse Government Accounting Scholarship

The Frank L. Greathouse Government Accounting Scholarship competition is for undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled full-time in a university or college preparing for a career in state and local government finance in the United States or Canada.

Daniel B. Goldberg Scholarship

The Daniel B. Goldberg Scholarship competition is for students who are enrolled full-time in a graduate program that prepares students for careers in state and local government finance.

Government Finance Professional Development Scholarship
The Government Finance Professional Development Scholarship competition is for graduate students who have been admitted on a part-time basis to a graduate program in public administration, finance, business administration or a related field.

Indiana Sheriffs' Association Scholarship Fund
The Indiana Sheriffs' Association Scholarship Fund was established for the purpose of receiving, investing, and dispensing funds to provide college scholarships to qualified students who are committed to pursuing an education and career in the law enforcement field.

Indiana Women in Public Finance Scholarship
In support of its mission, in 2014 the Indiana Women in Public Finance plans to award up to two $1,000 scholarships to a female college student with a junior or senior status by the fall of 2014 majoring in any of the following areas: finance, public finance, law, government accounting, public policy and public management, or any other closely related field. The applicant must be a permanent resident of Indiana and provide a college transcript, a letter of recommendation by the student's academic advisor, department chair, or faculty member with which the student completed coursework, the completed application form and essays.

Law Enforcement Spouse and Children's Scholarships
The Wives Behind the Badge Scholarship Program offers two scholarships per year – one for the dependent children of law enforcement officers and one for the spouses of law enforcement officers.

Minorities in Government Finance
The Minorities in Government Finance Scholarship competition is for minority students of public administration, (governmental) accounting, finance, political science, economics or business administration (with a specific focus on government or nonprofit management) at the upper-division undergraduate or graduate level.
