Resident Hall Dining Plans
Red Eagle Plan, White Eagle Plan, and Blue Eagle Plan
A predetermined number of meals per week that can be used for dinner and weekend brunches in The Loft. Evening meals can be used in either The Loft for the buffet or in The Eagles Nest for a combo meal. The Eagles Nest option is only available Sunday through Thursday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The meal plans have a specific amount of dining dollars, a flexible declining balance system, that may be used to purchase breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snacks at any food service facility on campus.
When your dining dollars run low, you can purchase munch money which a type of declining balance that can be added to your card at any time. As an added bonus, 5% is added to your account when you purchase munch money.
Students who choose either the Red, White, or Blue Meal plan for the fall semester will be automatically signed up for the same meal plan for the spring semester and their students account will be charged for the additional semester's meal plan. Students who do not live in a residence hall and wish to come off of the meal plan must come to the food service office before the beginning of the spring semester.
The Red Eagle, White Eagle, and Blue Eagle Plans may be purchased on the USI Housing Food Service Contract. Munch Money must be purchased in the Dining Services Office.
Red Eagle Plan
1,649 per semester
Seven buffet dinners and two buffet brunches each week with a Grand total of nine (9) meals per week and $620 Dining Dollars on your Eagle Access Card to be used at any food service location.
White Eagle Plan
$1,610 per semester
Eight (8) buffet meals - either dinner or brunch - and $540 Dining Dollars per semester on your Eagle Access Card to be used at any food service location. To add more money to your declining balance, see Food Services.
Blue Eagle Plan
$1,480 per semester
Eight (8) buffet meals - either dinner or brunch - and $380 Dining Dollars per semester on your Eagle Access Card to be used at any food service location. To add more money to your declining balance, see Food Services.
Dinner and brunch participants must present a valid Eagle Access card or pay the posted casual meal rate to be admitted into The Loft. Dining privileges may not be transferred to another person. If it is discovered that a person is using a "borrowed" card from a participant, the card will be seized by Dining Services.
You can enjoy "all you care to eat" meals in The Loft. However, no uneaten food may be removed from the premises. The dining week operates on a Friday-to-Thursday schedule. Friday morning signals a new meal week.
Munch Money and Dining Dollars participants present the Eagle Access card to the cashier after making food selections. It will be scanned, the account updated, and ending balance displayed on the receipt. If your purchase exceeds your available balance, the difference may be paid in cash. Munch Money and Dining Dollars are non-refundable. If you don't use all your Munch Money or Dining Dollars during the first semester, just carry them over to the second semester. However, any unused Munch Money or Dining Dollars left at the end of the second semester will be forfeited.
It is important to report lost or stolen Eagle Access cards as soon as possible. Call the Eagle Access card office 812/465-1124. If the Eagle Access office is closed, call Safety and Security at 812/464-1845.

The Titanium Card Plan, The Platinum Card Plan, The Gold Card Plan, and Munch Money

The meal plans offer Munch Money, a flexible declining balance system that may be used to purchase breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snacks at any food service facility on campus. As an added bonus, 5% is added to your account when you purchase Munch Money. Additional Munch Money may be added to your meal plan at any time.

Titanium Card Plan, Platinum Card Plan, and Gold Card Plan must be purchased in the Dining Services Office on the lower level of the University Center or through the USI Housing Food Services Contract. Munch Money may only be purchased in the Dining Services Office.
Titanium Card Plan - best value
$1079 - 70 dinners or brunches in The Loft and $590 in Munch Money (a 19%
savings from the regular price for dinner or brunches and $29 bonus will be add to your Munch Money).
The Platinum Card Plan - most popular
$789 - 50 dinners or brunches in The Loft and $420 in Munch Money (a 10% savings
from the regular price for dinner or brunches and $20.50 bonus will be add to your Munch Money).
The Gold Card Plan - good value
$540 - 31 dinners or brunches in The Loft and $300 in Munch Money (3% savings from
the regular price for dinners or brunch and $14.55 bonus will be add to your Munch Money).
Munch Money - better than cash
May be purchased and added to your Eagle Access card at any time in any amount over $50.
