Benchmarks

$1,000,000+ Each of the Last 10 Years
Increases in the USI Foundation's direct cash support of the University of Southern Indiana for such things as scholarships, state-of-the-art equipment and technology, and capital improvement reflects the steady growth of charitable gifts since 1985, the year that University was established as a separate state university. Because many donors designate their gifts to scholarships, increasing amounts each year go to provide scholarship awards to bright and deserving students.

Growth in Scholarship Assets
USI Foundation scholarship assets have multiplied over the past 10 years from $5 million in 1997 to nearly $40.8 million in 201. During the 2010/11 academic year, 1,035 scholarships, valued at $1,363,395, were awarded.

Continued Support through Charitable Gifts
With the loyal generosity of USI alumni, friends, and corporate partners, charitable gifts and pledges in support of the University of Southern Indiana reached $5.9 million in 2010-11. Annual figures include gifts of cash, singed pledges, securities, pending corporate matches, grants, and gifts-in-kind.  Figures do not include sponsored research.
