USI
Annual Fund
There is always extraordinary need for
unrestricted funds which provide the University with the flexibility to meet
its highest priorities and most urgent needs. The USI Foundation's Board
of Directors determines how Annual Fund monies are spent.
"One of the University's most valuable resources, this unrestricted support is essential to fostering USI's mission of creating an environment where teaching and learning come first and students are educated to live wisely." -- President H. Ray Hoops
It is the USI Foundation's #1 goal to grow the USI Annual Fund to $315,000 by June 30, 2009. The annual fund drive is conducted in three separate campaigns, each headed by a member of the Foundation's board.
Alumni Campaign
Chaired by Jessica McCarthy '00, immediate past president of the USI Alumni
Association, the USI Annual Fund Alumni Campaign's 2008-09 goal is $125,000. In 2007-08 the Alumni Campaign raised
$116,138 for the Annual Fund.
Corporate Campaign
Chaired by Debbie Bush, general manager and vice president of 14 WFIE, the USI Annual
Fund Corporate Campaign's goal for 2008-09 is $65,000. The Corporate Campaign in 2007-08
raised $38,061.
Friends Campaign
Chaired by Ira Neal, the USI Annual Fund Friends Campaign has set an
ambitious goal of $125,000. Last year this campaign raised $149,084 or 41 percent of the
Annual Fund total.
Charitable gifts to the 2008-09 USI Annual Fund are welcome through June 30, 2009.
