Capital
Projects
Donors help
provide support for University capital projects and state-of-the-art
technology through
their charitable gifts and gifts-in-kind.

In 2003-04 continuing support from
former students as well as memorial gifts in memory of biology professor
Melvin H. "Mike" Denner helped purchase state-of-the-art equipment in the
Melvin and Anne Denner Anatomy and Physiology Laboratory.

The proceeds
from historian and art collector Ken McCutchan's charitable gift annuity
is underwriting the principal cost of a future teaching art gallery, which will
be located in the Liberal Arts Center.

Support from the Scripps Howard Foundation is
underwriting technology and equipment for both the Scripps Howard Center for
Media Studies and the Scripps Howard Video Production Complex, both of which
are located in the Liberal
Arts Center.
- Gifts from Paul Torrington provided for state-of-the-art technology in the biology and chemistry research laboratories which were named in his honor.
Other gifts over the years include gifts-in-kind such as antiques, objects of art, silverware, and fine china for the University Home.
