USI's Higher Education Day at the State House Tuesday, March 15, 2011 Members of USI's Student Government Association, alumni, and staff observed the legislature in session, toured the State House, met and had lunch with State legislators and officials at the Hyatt Regency in Indianapolis.

USI's Baseball Team Meet with Governor Daniels
Tuesday, January 31, 2011

Prior to being honored by the Indiana General Assembly for the team's win of the 2010 NCAA Division II National Championship.

The resolution in their honor acknowledged that the Screaming Eagles are the first team from the Midwest Region and the first in the state of Indiana to win a national championship in baseball. Also mentioned are:
Brad Vance - NCAA II Regional Most Valuable Player
Taylor Dennis - Most Outstanding Player in the NCAA II National Championship series
Head Coach Tracy Archuleta -American Baseball Coaches Association Division II Coach of the Year & American Baseball Coaches Association and National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Midwest Region Coach of the Year
