Having international credentials evaluated:

1.    Have your academic records translated into English. If your records have already been translated and notarized by a professional translation service in your country of origin or in the United States, that translation is acceptable. Otherwise, you may find a translating service among the credential evaluating services listed in item 2 below to assist you with this process. The University of Southern Indiana cannot accept translations you have made; the translator must be a trained and certified professional.

2.   Have a course-by-course evaluation performed by an international credential evaluation service. This evaluation will tell USI two things: if the institution is officially recognized by the Ministry of Education or other accrediting body in your country; and if each class was considered "college level." The evaluation will also give the value of the credits earned according to the U.S. semester system.
