Curriculum - Advance Standing Full-Time Track

Fall Semester
SOCW 507 Social Work Research 3 hours
SOCW 601 Specialization (I); Clinical Assessment and Differential Diagnosis 3 hours
SOCW 608 Paradigms of  Clinical Practice 3 hours
SOCW 660 Advanced Group Therapy in Social Work 3 hours

Spring Semester
SOCW 602 Specialization (II); Clinical Planning and Treatment Process 3 hours
SOCW 605 Practice Evaluation 3 hours
SOCW 611 Graduate Field Placement (II)* 4 hours
SOCW 612 Integrated Field Placement Seminar (II) 2 hours

Summer Semester -
Includes First, Second, and Third Summer Terms
SOCW 610 Human Diversity, Social Policy and Social Work 3 hours
SOCW 692 Advanced Graduate Social Work Project 3 hours
SOCW 652 Family and Marital Therapy 3 hours
SOCW 671 Social Work Management 3 hours

The program is for students who have a BSW from a Social Work Program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.  Students begin coursework in the Fall of 2007.  All courses are sequential. 

*SOCW 611 is the field practicum related to advanced clinical social work content taught in the 600-level courses.  Students complete 525 hours of supervised field experience over a 22 week period.
