Graduate Council Minutes
December 12, 2003

PRESENT: Harrel (Chair) ,Bennett, Davis, Farmer, Frazer, Hall, Hermes, Luebben, Maurice, Niemeier, Philleo, Raymond, Raske, Schultz, White

A. The meeting was called to order at 8:30 A.M. Dr. Harrel announced this would be the final meeting for Dr. Hall who was retiring as MBA program director.

He will be replaced on the Council by Dr. Mohammed Khayum, the new MBA program director.

B. Approval of the Minutes

The minutes of the March 28 meeting were approved with minor corrections by unanimous consent.

C. Graduate Course Petitions

1. Dr. Maurice moved Biology 655, Environmental Issues, 3 hours be approved.. Motion passed.

2. Dr. Raske moved. Social Work 500, Special Topics in Social Work, 3 hours, be approved. Motion passed.

3. Dr. Philleo moved Physical Education 593, Emotional Health of Children in Sports, 3 hours be approved. Motion passed.

D. Information Items

Dr. Harrel requested that the Council review the residency requirement policy at a later meeting.
