On Wednesday, April 11, Dr. Daniel W. Heaton, professor of communication and theatre studies, will be on campus to present his one-man show, “Almost Paradise: A Performance of Contemporary Poetry.”  The performance features poetry from Paradise Refunded by Ohio poet Kevin Griffith. This performance is a fast-paced reimagining of popular culture and pop culture icons and offers alternative understandings of myths we live by and die by.

The performance begins at 4.30 in Rice Library Reading Room, 2nd Floor with a reception to follow. The event is free and open to the public. This event is sponsored by the MA in Communication Program and the Graduate Student Professional Network.

In addition to teaching and conducting research related to these topics over the last 30 years, he has performed at many national and regional performance festivals and conferences.
