Pillars of Excellence

Members of the University of Southern Indiana Fraternity/Sorority Life shall strive to academic success. Each chapter commits itself to the tenet of enhancing scholarship and learning while encouraging members to be livelong learners.

The University of Southern Indiana Fraternity/Sorority Life community is dedicated to developing member’s unique leadership potential. The community shall provide experiences that develop leadership skills, a better understanding of self, and encourages individuals to take ownership of their actions.

The ideal of brotherhood and sisterhood is a cornerstone of the University of Southern Indiana Fraternity/Sorority Life experience. The close bonds of friendship and family with our community that extends outside of the wall of our individual chapter provides members a diverse and well-rounded community experience.

Members of the University of Southern Indiana Fraternity/Sorority Life provide a significant contribution to the community on a local, regional, and national level. Through volunteerism, service learning, and philanthropic fundraisers, these opportunities encourage citizenship, a better understanding of the world, and altruism.  See the 2011 Philanthropy/Community Service Report Here

The pillar of growth is at the center of the other four Pillars of Excellence. Commitment to the other pillars will result in personal, chapter, and community growth. Without growth the University of Southern Indiana Fraternity/Sorority Life community will become stagnate.
