All application materials must be received prior to acceptance into the RN-BSN program. There is not a deadline for the applications to the RN-BSN program, completed files are reviewed monthly and notifications are sent with a Plan of Study Worksheet to the student upon acceptance.

The requirements for admission to the USI RN-BSN program include: 

• Completion of an accredited associate degree or diploma in nursing

• A cumulative grade point average of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale in previous academic work.

• An unencumbered RN license in all states of practice. 

• Students must be currently employed or have access to a health care work environment to complete course requirements. 
  

Application Requirements

• Acceptance to the University of Southern Indiana as an undergraduate. This is the application to the University as a Student and requires a $35 application fee. The Acceptance Committee cannot review your application without verification that you are a student at the University of Southern Indiana.

• Application to the RN-BSN program at the College of Nursing and Health Professions. This is the application to the College of Nursing and Health Professions RN-BSN Program.
  • DO NOT send the College of Nursing and Health Professions your official university/college transcripts.
  • DO NOT send your transcripts c/o Nursing.
  • All transcripts should be sent to the Office of Admissions. Please contact the Office of Admission for further information.
• A current professional resume.

• Submission of an unencumbered RN license(s). As many states no longer provide paper copies of the RN license, a printed version of the online confirmation is acceptable.
