Starting in the fall semester of 2014, degree requirements may have significantly changed due to the launch of the University Core 39. Students entering the University of Southern Indiana before the fall semester of 2014 may be required to complete the old University Core Curriculum. Admission to the Dental Hygiene Program is determined through a selective process and is limited to 24 students each academic year. The student's grade point average in the required prerequisite courses determines the admission ranking. Candidates for the program must be in good health, eligible for dental hygiene licensure, and capable of fulfilling clinical practice requirements.
