Pre-nursing students are not eligible for these scholarships at this time.

The university admissions department may be able to assist pre-nursing students with other possible scholarships.

Criteria: Full time undergraduate nursing student with financial need. Preference to student planning to go into Pediatric Nursing. Renewable for one additional year with minimum 3.0 GPA. Criteria: To recruit and retain an incoming freshman in business, engineering, geology or nursing in the top 15 percent of high school class. Must demonstrate financial need. Automatically renewable if GPA of 2.5 is maintained as freshman, 2.75 as sophomore and 3.0 as a junior and senior. May not be awarded to a graduating senior. Indiana Center for Nursing Scholarship

Criteria: Number and amount of awards varies. For an Indiana resident admitted to the USI nursing program as a full time undergraduate or full time/part time graduate student. Minimum 3.0 GPA. Financial need is considered. Recipient must demonstrate a commitment to working in nursing in the state of Indiana upon graduation.

Criteria: The recipient must be a nontraditional, female nursing student with a B average. The student should be close to graduation and show true promise of becoming a nurse. A good candidate might be a single mother working hard to make ends meet as well as taking on the challenges of nursing courses. May not be awarded to a graduating senior. Recipient must be enrolled during the upcoming academic year in order to receive this scholarship. The scholarship is not automatically renewable, but the recipient may reapply.

Criteria: Full-time students who have been accepted into the undergraduate nursing program at time of application and receipt of the scholarship. Must be in good academic standing and maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA. Demonstrate financial need validated by USI Student Financial Assistance and completed FAFSA. Display professional attributes consistent with the values of St. Mary's Health. Renewable at discretion of nursing faculty.

Criteria: Students must be currently enrolled in the USI College of Nursing and Health Professions. Undergraduates must have completed 12 USI nursing credit hours and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate leadership and service to the community and the nursing professions. Consideration will also be given to the number of hours the student is employed. May not be awarded to a graduating senior. Recipient must be enrolled during the upcoming academic year in order to receive this scholarship. May resubmit application, not automatically renewable.
