Ashley Hilton '13, a member of the University of Southern Indiana Honors Program, received the President's Medal at the spring 2013 Commencement ceremony. The President's Medial is the highest honor presented to a USI graduate. Hilton majored in social work and was the first in her family to attend college.
In addition to the Honors Program, she was also involved with Phi Alpha National Honor Society, Alpha Kappa Psi, and the USI Center for Social Justice. She also volunteered with many off-campus community organizations.
Victoria "Tori" Daugherty '13, a University Honors Scholar, completed an internship as a research associate with Global Action on Aging, a non-governmental organization in New York City, which allowed her to observe groundbreaking advances in the area of elder rights.
