“I grew in maturity, my acceptance of others, along with their views, and my own understanding of self. I also met people with whom I will have life long friendships.... There is no aspect of my experience that I would change except that if I could do it all over again, I would stay for two semesters as opposed to one. Thanks to scholarships like the Honors Study Abroad Scholarship, I was able to go without the worry of costs.”

“My study abroad experience was literally life changing. As a result of studying abroad, I am a much more independent person. On top of that, I am a much more knowledgeable person. I understand the workings of the world a little better now. I am more open to trying new things and am more willing to look at things from other's perspectives. I loved my time at Harlaxton and miss it dearly! I know that my travels would not have been possible without the Honors Study Abroad Scholarship. Europe isn't exactly cheap and having that financial help made a world of difference.”

“I believe the Honors Program is for students who excel not only in their field but also as humans in a global society. Studying abroad allowed me to see the world in a new and different way. My experiences in Estonia, Ukraine, and Russia have allowed me to truly see myself as a citizen of the world, not only because of the travel, but also because of the amazing people I met.”

“The Honors study abroad scholarship was a great help in funding my trip to Costa Rica. It was an experience I will never forget. I was also able to receive the scholarship for a short-term trip to Greece. I have always wanted to travel the world and the Honors Program has helped to make it possible.”
