Welcome to the Honors Program for the University of Southern Indiana

The Honors Program offers a selective, demanding, and rewarding program for students who are searching for an intellectual challenge and are prepared to invest extra effort to meet that challenge. Honors students benefit from smaller classes, close contact with faculty, grants to study abroad, research opportunities, exciting extracurricular activities, and the Honors living-learning community. The Honors Program provides students with a supportive community of fellow Honors students who are academically motivated and talented, but also like to organize fun events. The USI Honors Program offers a broad range of opportunities for personal and academic growth. The most outstanding feature of the program is the students themselves. Their motivation and creativity stimulate the entire University campus.

“The Honors classes are small, challenging, and fun! All of the students in these classes have met outside the classroom due to the Honors Program. This makes it so much easier to interact with each other and with the professors as well. I always feel like I learn more and at a quicker pace since all of us are on the same page!”
