Employee Assistance Program
The University
provides a confidential employee assistance program through Deaconess CONCERN which provides assessment,
short-term counseling, referral and follow-up services for eligible employees
and members of their household. Family, marital, financial, or work-related
problems are dealt with in a completely confidential manner by one of the EAP
counselors. Employees and members of their household are eligible for up to
eight free visits; additional visits are covered by most health plans. The cost of the EAP is paid by the University.

Work-Life Resources
Work-Life Website
This state-of-the-art website offers
more than 3,000 resources covering topics such as family and care giving, health
and wellness, emotional wellbeing, working smarter and daily living. Includes Live Connect, a
feature similar to instant messaging, and Assisted Search, a feature in
which consultants assist in researching resources. Also provides more than 80
interactive behavioral health and wellness assessments. These are

Care Resource and Referral Service
Child Care – These are free services. Our educated Work-Life consultants are ready to take your call 24 hours a
day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year, with such topics as:

- Child development materials
- Age-appropriate discipline
- Keeping kids safe
- Keeping kids healthy
- School age decisions

Legal Services
Each Employee, or their
Dependent, is entitled to one, thirty-minute telephonic or in-office
consultation with a network attorney at no charge on up to 12 separate legal
matters per year. In the event that
you wish to retain a participating attorney after the initial consultation, you
will be provided with a preferred rate reduction of 25% from the attorney’s
normal hourly rate. WLB neither endorses nor guarantees the advice given. The decision whether or not to accept
or act on the advice of the resource shall rest solely with the Employee who
shall have the sole and independent obligation to decide whether or not accept
or act on the advice.Services

Legal Services will NOT be
provided for the following:
Matters involving disputes
or actions between Employees and their employer, or any affiliate of the

involving someone other than the person calling.
Financial Services
An employee who desires
assistance with a financial matter shall call and describe the type of service
or resource needed. Neither
Work-Life Benefits, nor your employer, endorses nor guarantees the advice given
by the contracted service, its principals, and employees. The decision whether or not to accept
or act on the advice of the resource shall rest solely with the Employee or
their Dependent who shall have the sole and independent obligation to decide
whether or not accept or act on the advice rendered. Services include:

Daily Living Convenience
Resource Services will provide you with referrals to established providers of
products and services. Work Life
Benefits will not perform any service nor deliver any product. We will assist in finding the
appropriate vendor of that product or service. Daily Demands requests are limited to no more than 12 per year per
employee.
