2007 Medical, Prescription Drug & Dental Insurance

During Open Enrollment, employees may enroll in health insurance.  Current participants may add/delete dependents and/or switch to another insurance plan.

The plans currently offered by the University are the Anthem Blue Access 200 plan, Anthem Blue Access 500 plan, and Welborn HMO.   

Each health care plan is inclusive of medical, prescription drug, and dental insurance.  The 2007 insurance comparison overview is a good tool for employees to use to compare the health insurance options.

PLAN DESIGN CHANGES FOR 2007:

Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield -- Blue Access 100 Plan will become Blue Access 200 Plan:

• Deductible - increase from $100 single/$200 family to $200 single/$400 family in-network; increase from $200 single/$400 family to $400 single/$800 family non-network. 

• Office visit co-payment changed from $15 to $20

• Annual out-of-pocket maximum - remains at $1,000 single/$2,000family in-network; and $2,000 single/$4,000 family non-network

Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield -- Blue Access 500 Plan:

• Office visit co-payment changed from $20 to $25

• Co-Insurance  - changed from 90% University/10% Employee to 80% University/20% employee in-network; change from 70% University/30% employee to 60% University/40% employee non-network

• Annual out-of-pocket maximum - remains at $2,500 single/$5,000family in-network; and $5,000 single/$10,000 family non-network

Welborn HMO

• Deductible - $100 single/$200 family

• Doctor Office Visits -- Changed from $15 to $20 for primary care physicians, and from $25 to $30 for specialist.

• Emergency Room/Urgent Co-payment - changed emergency room co-payment from $50 to $75; changed urgent care co-payment from $25 to $35

• Co-Insurance  - changed from 90% University/10% Employee to 80% University/20% employee

• Annual out-of-pocket maximum - remains at $1,000 single/$2,000family

• No plan design changes for 2007

Blue Cross/Blue Shield Blue Access 200 Plan -  The monthly premium is inclusive of medical, prescription drug, and dental insurance coverage.
