What Does HR Do? Did you know that in 2015 Human Resources employment staff supported over 100 search committees and almost 300 new hires? HR benefits team assisted over 2,300 employees and dependents on our medical insurance, almost 500 tuition fee waivers, and over 150 leaves of absence. HR employment and payroll staff processed over 40,000 pay checks/deposits. HR administration facilitated over 250 employee relations, ADA and Title IX situations. Civil Rights and Sexual Misconduct Policy – On
7/1/15, the University published a new
Rights and Sexual Misconduct Policy and its accompanying procedures for
reporting and resolving complaints. This policy and procedure reflect the latest
development in the University’s continuing efforts to support an inclusive
environment that promotes and protects the rights of all members of the
University community. Additional information, including the complete policy and procedure,

Parental Pay Policy Effective July 1, 2015 – The University has
recently enhanced our paid time off policies, allowing full-time, regular
(non-temporary), benefit-eligible employee-parents up to ten (10) consecutive
working days of paid parental leave per fiscal year, following the birth or
adoption of a child. Questions about this new policy should be directed to Human
