February 26, 2013 2012 Frank and Judy O’Bannon Heritage Enrichment Award Richard Day, historian at Vincennes State Historic Sites in Vincennes, Indiana, has been awarded the 2012 Frank and Judy O’Bannon Heritage Enrichment Award. March 23, 2013 Barn Again! Workshop and Tour Owners of historic barns get advice on adapting barns for modern farming or new uses at BARN AGAIN! -- a workshop at the West Street Arts Center, 301 West Street, Madison. Experts will offer practical solutions on how to maintain, rehabilitate and adapt old barns for today's needs. Learn about the history and technology of barns, as well as barn maintenance and preservation. Join experts on a tour of three privately-owned historic barns, including the striking Cravenhurst barn. May 7, 2013 Evansville to host Community Conversation Series Evansville is one of four communities selected by Indiana Humanities to host a Community Conversation series this year. The theme of the series is "Bicentennial 2016: The Next Indiana," and Historic Southern Indiana and other community organizations will use this opportunity to examine the city's history and and work toward a plan of action to revitalize center core neighborhoods.
