Historic Southern Indiana

The Posey County Courthouse building was completed in 1876. It is of Romanesque style. The 75x105 building made of Bedford stone, with a slate and copper roof. The apex of the dome is 119 feet above the foundation. It is an imposing and inspiring building as one looks at the white trim on the mellow red brick and carved doorways and tall windows.
