Scribner House is the oldest surviving building of any kind in New Albany. It was built in 1814 by Joel Scribner, one of the city's founders. The house was purchased by the Daughters of the American Revolution in 1917 and has been preserved as a museum since then. The house is unique in that many of the furnishings are original Scribner pieces.
