Logos
The following downloads are to assure that quality and accuracy are met when using university branding. By downloading the files, you become responsible for complying with guidelines and policies provided for their use.
While not required, it is recommended that you contact the director of Publishing Services, regarding intended use of a USI logo.
Each .zip file contains four print-ready versions of the logo (.eps, .tif, .jpg, .png).
The USI official logo is a three-color design composed of the red and blue colors of the University and black. The colors may not be reversed from the standard design. The official colors for USI are Pantone 540 (blue) and Pantone 7427 (red). No other shades of red and blue may be used. The University name color is officially black. If it is necessary to have only two colors (red/blue), the name color may change to USI blue only. No other color combination is permitted. When using a one-color version, the logo may be any single color, including black, which complements the piece on which it is being used.

The USI wordmark logo is used on all publications and print materials including letterhead, business cards, and memos. The logo should be used in its unaltered, official form. Do not stretch, change colors, resize to the point of pixilation, or otherwise modify the logo. If you need the logo in a format not provided here, please contact Publishing Services.

The official secondary logo is known as "the bug." This logo is less formal and sometimes fits better in some applications. The bug may be used freely and alone, but must be accompanied by the wording "University of Southern Indiana" in close proximity to the bug image if being used in a stand-alone print document. The same guidelines noted above for the official wordmark logo apply to the bug.
|
The emblem is the white, black, or gray USI with the small star. This image should always appear in black, white, or gray. If color is desired, the USI bug should be used instead. The art for each is set up to print on white or on any color other than white.
These designs may be sized to fit an application but may not be altered graphically or proportionally.

There are three sanctioned color patch designs available for general use. The art for each is set up to print on white, or on any color other than white. These designs may be sized to fit an application but may not be altered graphically or proportionately and colors must remain as designed.
None of these images should be used in such a manner that they replace an appropriate placement of the USI wordmark logo (such as publications, websites, etc.).

Use of the complete logo
When using the complete logo commercially and by the Athletic Department, "University of Southern Indiana" must be under the "Screaming Eagles" script as it is a component of the official logo.
Use of the script logo
When using the script part of the logo by itself commercially, "University of Southern Indiana" must be under the script. USI athletic teams may substitute "University of Southern Indiana" with the name of their activity only (baseball, men’s or women’s basketball, etc.) for use on a uniform or practice apparel.
Use of the head logo
Use of the head portion of the logo commercially must be accompanied by direct linkage to the wording: USI Athletics (either by the script Screaming Eagles or the text USI Athletics) near the logo itself. USI athletic teams will be allowed to use the head logo by itself for game or practice apparel.
Logo colors
When the athletic logo is used in color, the PMS colors must be Red 032 and Blue 287. The logo may be used in black and white.
Permission
Unless prior permission is obtained from the Sports Information Director, the Screaming Eagles athletic logo is restricted.
It is important to note that the Athletic Department "head logo" is not an official USI eagle image. The use of this graphic is restricted to use as noted above.
Archibald Eagle and other athletic cartoon eagles have long been discontinued for use commercially. Archibald Eagle may be used by the University, the Athletic Department, the Varsity Club, and USI Alumni for special projects and occasions. Permission for the use of Archibald Eagle must be obtained from the Sports Information Director.
The University launched a new identity campaign on October 23, 2012. The red corner edge is used with the words "Get the Edge." We can provide you images consistent with the new theme upon request. Permission is required for creating materials using the Get the Edge graphic for digital and print materials not created by Photography Services, Publishing Services, or Web Services.
The University seal is restricted for use on official University of Southern Indiana business and the Office of the President. The shield is not available for download and should not be used unless you have written permission from the Office of the President.
Logos may be designed for outreach programs engaged in promotions and retail operations. Independent logos for University departments and divisions are not permitted. Departments and other units should identify their areas using the standard University logo and their unit name in accompanying text. Use of previously designed logos for these areas will be discontinued when a more complete identity program is developed at a later date.
The University of Southern Indiana seeks to manage the use of its logo and images and to benefit financially from the marketing of that image. To that end, a licensing program has been developed which establishes a framework for consistently applying the license policy to activities associated with the licensing of the University name and emblem. Questions regarding application of the policy are to be directed to the Bookstore manager.
