Web Services is responsible for the development and maintenance of the USI website and its subpages. The department ensures compliance with the USI Editor’s Manual, Style Guide, and Web Publishing Policy throughout the USI Website. Web Services staff provides guidance, training, and other services to departments and colleges in the development and maintenance of their web presence as it applies to the overall University identity standards and 508 accessibility guidelines.
There are many web editors across campus with access rights to update and maintain department websites. Questions about your department website should be directed to Brandi Hess, manager, Web Services.
Web Services is in the process of implementing a Content Management System, CMS, to deliver web content on the University website. CMS users may easily create, update, and maintain University web pages without the use of special web authoring software or technical training.
The CMS the University is using is called Umbraco.
