Emerging Leader of the Year

 

Description of the Award
This award is presented to a first-year or second-year student leader who has shown outstanding participation in extracurricular activities at USI and potential to have a positive impact as a leader on the University community.

Eligibility criteria for 2008
- Student must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at USI.
- Student must have earned 62 or fewer credit hours.
- Student must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.500.

Applications - Available January 22, 2008 and due March 3, 2008
Students applying for the Emerging Leader of the Year award should submit eight (8) copies of the following:
- Application Cover Sheet
- Activities Resume (sample)
- Recommendation Form

Recognition of Award
Students selected to receive the award will receive recognition at the Student Leadership Awards and Recognition program on April 16, 2008.
