Emerging Leader of the Year

 

Description of the Award
This award is presented to one first-year and one second-year student leader who have shown outstanding participation in extracurricular activities at USI and potential to have a positive impact as a leader on the University community.

Eligibility criteria for 2012
- Students must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at USI.
- Students must have earned 62 or fewer credit hours.
- Students must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.500.

Applications - Available February  1, 2012 and are due February 29, 2012 Students applying for the Emerging Leader of the Year award will be required to submit: - Activities Resume (sample) - Recommendation Letter* - Essay Response

*Applicants will provide the name and email address of the person submitting the Letter of Recommendation. The Office of Student Development Programs will contact them with further instructions. 

Recognition of Award
Students selected to receive the award will receive recognition at the Student Leadership Awards and Recognition program on April 18, 2012.
