

Outstanding New Student Organization Award
Description of the Award
The Outstanding New Student Organization award is presented to a student organization that has been registered at USI for less than two (2) years. The Outstanding New Student Organization must be able to demonstrate excellence in its development. Selection is based on demonstrated success in each of the following categories:
- Membership and leadership development
- Fundraising
- Service to the University and surrounding community
- Campus programming
- University involvement (i.e.: Homecoming, SGA, Student Involvement Fair, etc.)
- Fulfillment of the organization’s mission/purpose.
Eligibility criteria
for 2008
Only organizations that have been
registered at USI for less than two (2) years are eligible for this award.
Organizations that apply for Outstanding New Student Organization are not
eligible to receive Outstanding Student Organization during the same year.
Once an organization has received this award they are no longer eligible for
this award in the future.
Applications

Available January 22, 2008 and due March 3, 2008
Organizations applying for the Outstanding New Student Organization award should
submit one (1) copy of the Organizational Portfolio. Utilize the following
guide in developing your portfolio:

Recognition of Award
Organizations selected to receive the award will receive recognition at the Student Leadership Awards and
Recognition program on April 16, 2008.
