Student Organization President of the Year

 

Description of the Award This award is to honor a student organization president who has shown exceptional commitment to his/her organization.  Qualified candidates will possess strong leadership skills, a high degree of integrity, and have had an overall positive impact on their organization. Eligibility criteria for 2008 Student organizations can nominate any student who was president of their organization during any portion of the 2007-2008 academic school year. Applications - Available January 22, 2007 and due March 3, 2008 Students nominating an individual for the Student Organization President of the Year award should submit eight (8) copies of the following: - Nomination Form

The president of the USI chapter of Habitat for Humanity, Amber Wischmeier (right), was the 2005 Student Organization President of the Year.  The 2005 Silent Inspiration Award winner, Jessica Hopkins of the Student Ambassadors (left), is also pictured with members of the 2005 Outstanding Student Organization award winner, Habitat for Humanity.

The recommendation should address the following questions:
- What has the nominee done that has been innovative for your organization?
- What specific qualities does the nominee possess that makes him/her outstanding? 

Recognition of Award
Students selected to receive the award will receive recognition at the Student Leadership Awards and Recognition program on April 16, 2008.
