Fall 2006 Corporate Leadership Conference

The Fall 2006 Corporate Leadership Conference will be hosted by Tucker Publishing Group. The locally owned and operated company publishes magazines including Evansville Living and Evansville Business. All USI students are welcome to participate, but students who are interested in journalism, public relations, art (photography), advertising and marketing are especially encouraged to attend.

The Fall 2006 Corporate Leadership Conference will be Saturday, November 4, 2006 from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Tucker Publishing Group offices in downtown Evansville. The conference is free to USI students and includes a continental breakfast and lunch.

Corporate Leadership Conference Registration

To register for the Corporate Leadership Conference, please fill out the Conference Registration Form. The conference will be limited to 70 students, so be sure to register as early as possible. The registration deadline for the conference is November 1, 2006.

About the Corporate Leadership Conference

The Corporate Leadership Conference is a program designed to help students in a particular group of majors learn about leadership in their chosen career field. Each semester, a different Evansville business hosts the conference, and participants gain the following from the leaders of those corporations:

an introduction to the leadership philosophy of a major corporation

workshops relating to leaders and/or leadership in that field

on-site demonstrations/training of work in that field

networking opportunities with other students with similar career goals and leaders in the field

The specific focus of each Corporate Leadership Conference changes based on the type of corporation that is sponsoring the conference, and rotates to be of interest to students with majors in a different college each semester. The rotation for the focus of future Corporate Leadership Conferences is as follows:

Spring 2007 - Pott College of Science and Engineering

Fall 2007 - College of Business

Spring 2008 - Bower-Suhrheinrich College of Education and Human Services

Fall 2008 - College of Nursing and Health Professions

Spring 2009 - College of Liberal Arts
