USI is committed to offering faculty members a full array of faculty development and training opportunities. This website represents a collaborative effort among several departments to provide a variety of professional development and training events.

Faculty development and training opportunities may be added or modified throughout the year. Check this site periodically for the most current event listing, event descriptions, and registration information. All events are FREE.

Note: Please be certain your attendance is noted at each event. At the end of the term, you will receive a transcript listing the various events you attended. This may be useful for annual report purposes.

USI Sponsored Research Office - The primary mission of the Sponsored Research Office (SRO) is to maintain a supportive environment for research, scholarly, and creative endeavors of the faculty and academic staff. SRO provides a variety of training opportunities on topics such as grant-writing, finding funding, proposal and budget development, and human subjects research. We offer personalized sessions and customized departmental or topic-specific sessions. Visit our website or blackboard organization for more resources.

USI Extended Services - Offers a wealth of professional development opportunities, including computer courses. Obtain a tuition waiver in Human Resources.
