Criminal Justice Studies
Before being elected to the U.S. Congress, our former student, Congressman Brad Ellsworth, '81 graduate of sociology, was Vanderburgh County Sheriff. In a public address at USI, he said that courses in sociology opened him up to cultural diversity and prepared him well for his position as then sheriff, stating, “...a community is measured by how they treat the poorest and weakest of their community.”
